About WebshopXL

WebshopXL shows which shop can deliver a product, and when. You search for a product, enter the first four digits of a Dutch postcode, and get the day, the order cutoff, the price including shipping, and how often that shop hits the promised day. Evening delivery, same-day and pickup show up when the shop actually offers them.

You place the order at the shop. WebshopXL has no basket and no payment page. We are a comparison, not the seller.

Why this exists

Comparing price is a solved problem. Comparing the delivery day is not. Two shops can both say tomorrow. One of them hits that almost every time. The other hits it six times out of ten. On a price list those promises look the same. At the front door they do not.

Erik Waal started this. He runs a webshop himself and knows the gap between the cutoff on the product page and the hour the warehouse actually closes. WebshopXL is his answer, for anything that can be delivered: a book, a plant, headphones, a gift. Not a niche site that ignores the rest of the shelf.

What we will and will not do

The order of the list comes from the date and from the on-time rate. A shop that promises tomorrow and hits that 60 percent of the time can finish below a shop that promises the day after and hits that 98 percent of the time. The formula is public on How we measure. We do not sell a place in that list.

If a paid mention ever exists, it will be labelled and it will not move the score. That is a decision we write down first. The roadmap says when it could even come up: after the measurement holds.

Where we are

The clock is Amsterdam time, on our server. Your phone can show something else. A cutoff of 17:00 is gone at 17:00.

A click on To the shop stores the date you saw. Only products from an uploaded feed count. The gate is 200 of those shipments, at least 85 percent on or before the date shown. Sample products stay visible and do not count. Until that gate is met, this is a measurement with a working screen, not a finished company.
