How we measure
WebshopXL ranks offers on delivery certainty. Paid placement does not exist in this prototype and never affects the order.
The date
Ship day is today if you order before the cutoff and the shop ships that day. Otherwise it is the next ship day. Delivery day is that ship day plus the carrier's working days. Sundays and public holidays move the date, unless the shop delivers on Sunday. Own stock is faster than supplier stock or a backorder.
The order
Without a chosen day we count the days until delivery, plus a penalty when the shop misses its promise more often. That penalty is (1 minus reliability) times 3. A shop that promises tomorrow and hits it 60 percent of the time therefore ranks below a shop that promises the day after and hits it 98 percent of the time. With a chosen day, shops that meet that day come first. Within that group, the highest reliability wins.
Origin
Measured: shipments from a shop connection or carrier, with the number of measurements. Stated: the shop supplies the cutoff and the percentage, without a full measurement yet. Estimated: derived from text or from similar shops. A measured score shrinks small samples toward the average, so three lucky shipments do not become 100 percent.
Freshness and fraud
An offer older than 12 hours drops in the list and shows when it was updated. Shops without a chamber-of-commerce check, with a very young domain, or with an implausible price stay hidden.
Promise at the click
When you click through to a shop, we store the date, cutoff and origin that were shown. That is the only way to check later whether the shipment was on time. In this example the promise stays in your browser.
